Articles

Articles are the core content of your wiki. Each article can have multiple versions, allowing you to organize your wiki pages effectively.

How to Create an Article​

  1. Navigate to the GameCMS Dashboard.
  2. Go to Website Modules.
  3. Select Wiki.
  4. Select Articles.
  5. Click the New Article button.

Article Content

To add content to your article, you first need to create the article with the basic options. Then you can create a new article version.

  • Name: The name of the article.
  • Tags: Keywords associated with the article.
  • Category: The category under which the article falls.
  • Should this item be shown to users?: Toggle to show or hide the article from users.

How to Create an Article Version​

  1. Navigate to the GameCMS Dashboard.
  2. Go to Website Modules.
  3. Select Wiki.
  4. Select Articles.
  5. Select the article you want to edit.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom where all article versions are listed.
  7. Click the New Version button.
Default Version For Article

You can set a default article version by clicking on the star button. You can do the same for a category, setting a specific article as the default for the category.

Options​

  • Name: The name of the version.
  • Content: The content of the version.
  • Should this item be shown to users?: Toggle to show or hide the version from users.
  • File: Option to upload a file that the user can download.

What is an Article Version?​

Article versions contain the entire content of the article. You can create a single version for an article that will be used by default, or you can create multiple versions where one version is shown by default, and users can choose between different versions.

Tips for Organizing Articles​

If you want to move the article positions, go to the category where the articles belong and click the Articles tab. An easy way to do this is to edit the article from the Articles List and click Back to category.
