Categories & Resources

Categories help you organize your resources into different sections. For example, you can have categories for Plugins, Websites, and more.

How to Create New Category

  1. Navigate to the GameCMS Dashboard.
  2. Go to Website Modules.
  3. Select Resources from the menu.
  4. Select Categories from the menu.
  5. Click the button New Category.
  6. Enter the name and click Create.

To create a new resource, scroll down to the Resources section.

Options

Once you create your category, you will see two tabs at the top: Overview and Resources. The Resources tab contains all resources for the category, and from there you can create new resources.

Overview

  1. Name: The category name.
  2. Description: The category description (optional).
  3. Enabled: Toggle if the category should be enabled.

Resources

To create a new resource, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the categories list and select a category.
  2. Click on the Resources tab.
  3. Click the button Add New Resource.

Resources Options

  • Name: The name of the resource.
  • Resource Image: An optional icon for the resource.
  • Price: The price of the resource. Set to 0 for free.
  • Description: A detailed description of the resource.
  • Enabled: Toggle if the resource should be enabled.

First Version

To create a resource, you need to add the first version:

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  2. Fill in the Version Label.
  3. Select the file to upload.

How to Add a New Release

Adding a new release is simple and straightforward:

  1. Navigate: Go to the Resources List on our dashboard.
  2. Edit Resource: Find the resource you want to update and click Edit.
  3. Add New Version: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button Add New Version.
  4. Fill in Details: You will be redirected to a page where you can:
    • Enter the Version Tag.
    • Write a Description.
    • Select the file to upload.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage and update your resources, ensuring your users have access to the latest versions and detailed information about each resource.

Tips for Organizing

You can drag and drop categories from the categories list. You can drop categories into different categories to create subcategories. Subcategories help organize your resources, especially if it is complex.
