Managing Settings

Managing HLStatsX:CE settings, game settings, and server settings is simple with our user-friendly interface. Follow the steps below for each section to understand the process better.

General Settings​

To manage the general settings:

  1. Navigate to Billing.
  2. Select the HLStats Billing tab.
  3. After adding your first server, you will see additional management buttons.
  4. Locate the Settings button, which appears at the top right, next to the Add Server button.

From here, you can adjust settings related to global configurations and behavior.

Game & Server Settings​

The game and server settings are combined for simplicity. When you edit the server, you will also see the related game settings. This is particularly useful if multiple servers share the same game.

Steps to Access Game & Server Settings:​

  1. Navigate to Billing.
  2. Select the HLStats Billing tab.
  3. Click the Edit icon next to the server you want to modify.

Upon clicking the Edit icon, you will first see the Server Settings. These settings apply only to the selected server, such as its IP address, port, and other server-specific configurations.

After reviewing or modifying the server-specific settings, you will notice a section on the right side that shows the Game Settings. For instance, if the server is for CSTRIKE, you will see CSTRIKE Settings. These settings apply to all servers associated with the CSTRIKE game.

Important Note:​

  • Server Settings: The first page you see after clicking the edit icon. These settings are specific to the server you selected.
  • Game Settings: Accessible from the right-side menu. Changes here affect all servers that belong to the selected game.

Accessing Game Settings Directly​

If you need to access the game settings without editing a server, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Billing.
  2. Select the HLStats Billing tab.
  3. Click on the Settings button next to the Add Server button.
  4. From the right-side menu, select Games.
  5. Find the game you want to edit and click the Settings icon next to it.

Key Differences Between Game and Server Settings:​

  • Game Settings: Affect all servers associated with the selected game.
  • Server Settings: Apply to individual servers, such as IP configuration and log address.

Tips for Managing Settings Efficiently​

  • Regularly Review Settings: Periodically check both game and server settings to ensure consistency.
  • Understand Inherited Settings: Changes to game settings will impact all linked servers.
  • Documentation: Refer to this page whenever you need to revisit the process.

Changes to settings require a 1-minute wait for the HLStats daemon to restart before further modifications can be made.
