Introducing Module Forum

Our Forum Module is simple, designed to facilitate meaningful online discussions. Unlike complex alternatives, it offers a streamlined platform for creating, sharing, and engaging in conversations within an organized virtual environment. Additionally, the Forum module can display news on your website, making it a versatile tool for communication and content sharing.

Forum Managing

The Forum can be managed both from your website and the dashboard, offering great flexibility and a seamless experience for you and your users.

Dashboard Managing

If you manage the Forum topics from the dashboard, the selected permissions in the category won't apply. Be careful about the permissions you give to your team groups.

How to Enable the Module​

  1. Navigate to the GameCMS Dashboard.
  2. Go to Website Modules.
  3. Find the Forum Module on the main page and click Enable.
  4. Click the Settings button to edit the module's settings.
  5. Click on the Categories button to manage the Forum categories.
  6. Click on the Reports button to view all reports.

Module Settings​

  • Show topics on the homepage: If enabled, it will show news from selected categories. This is a global setting in case you want to disable the news globally. This must be enabled if you want to show news on your website from specific categories.
  • Home Page News Display Limit: How many elements to be shown on the homepage as News.

How to Add News​

To add news to your website, follow these steps:

  1. Enable Show topics on the homepage from the module settings (see above).
  2. Enable Show topics on the homepage for a category that you want to display news from.
  3. Create news in one of two ways:
    • From the dashboard. Please see Forum Categories.
    • From your website. Navigate to your website and click on Forum in the navbar. If the Forum is missing from the navbar, please see Navbar Elements. Once you are on your website's /forum page, choose the category where news is enabled (step 2) and click the Create new topic button at the top.
News Images

You can upload an image for your topic that will be used as the news image on your homepage.
