Categories

Creating forms for your website allows you to do various things, from staff applications to feedback and almost anything that you need a form for.

Why is it Called Categories?

In our platform, we structure the forms as categories because many people got confused thinking forms referred to the forms that users have submitted. That's why we call the forms as categories. These categories can contain various questions you want.

Create a New Form

  1. Navigate to the GameCMS Dashboard.
  2. Go to Website Modules.
  3. Select Forms from the menu.
  4. Select Forms(Categories) from the submenu.
  5. Click the button Add New Form.
  6. Enter the form name that users will see.
  7. Add this element to the navbar: If enabled, the form will appear in the navbar of your website.

Options

Overview

  • Name: The name of the form.
  • Page Address (optional): The page address, e.g., application-helper, to look like yourwebsite.com/forms/application-helper.
  • Description: A short description of the form (optional).
  • Image: An image for the form (optional).
  • Should this item be shown to users: Toggle to show or hide the form on your website.
  • How many forms can a user submit in this category: The total number of forms a user can submit within a set number of days.
  • In how many days can a user submit a new form in this category: Set the interval for form submissions.

Questions

To add a new question, simply click on the tab Questions at the top of the page, then click the button Add Question.

Options

  1. Question: The question that the user needs to answer.
  2. Description: A small description for the question (optional).
  3. Question Type: The type of question can be:
    • Short answer
    • Long answer
    • Options
    • Multiple options
    • Attach image
  4. Image: An optional image for the question.
  5. Is this question required: Enable if the question is mandatory.
  6. Reveal Response: If enabled, the user will be asked yes or no. If yes is selected, the question type will be revealed.
  7. Should this item be shown to users: Hide or show the question to the user.

Permissions

Permissions allow you to restrict form submissions to users with specific groups. You can select a group from the Permissions tab. Once you select a group, the permissions will be shown with a description of what each means.

By following these steps and utilizing these options, you can create effective and organized forms for various purposes on your website.

Once the question is created you are not allowed to change the Question Category.
