Steam OAuth2

Steam Web API Integration allows users to log into your website using their Steam credentials. This process ensures a smooth and seamless login/registration experience on your website.

Steps to Set Up Steam Web API Integration​

  1. Navigate to the GameCMS Dashboard
  2. Go to Integrations > Steam
  3. Go to the Steam API Key Registration page
  4. Log in with your existing Steam account or create a new one.
  5. Copy the provided domain from GameCMS (Integrations > Steam) and paste it into the 'Domain Name' field on the Steam API Key Registration page.
  6. Agree to the terms and conditions and click "Register".
  7. Your API key will be generated. Keep this key private and do not share it.
  8. Copy your Steam Web API Key and paste it into the appropriate field in GameCMS under Integrations > Steam.

Options​

  1. Your Steam API Key: Enter your Steam API key here, which you obtained from the setup above.
  2. Enable Steam for Seamless Sign-In/Sign-Up: Activate this to allow users to sign in or register on your website using their Steam profiles.
  3. Allow Profile Confirmation: Enable this to permit users to confirm their profiles via the settings page on your website.
  4. Steam Account Requirement for Specific Actions: Toggle this on if you want certain actions to require a verified Steam profile.
